In our youth, we are often challenged by an adult to manifest an image of what it is that we will be when we grow up. Answers to this question tend to follow a predetermined path, such as fireman or astronaut at the start, and progressing to a more personalized description as we become more aware of our talents and limitations. Choices are often influenced by role models, heroes/heroines, and pop cultural icons that take turns filling our dreams and imagination. The series "When I Grow Up" is an attempt to reflect on my own path of self-realization with the help of fantasy and history, towards a re-imagined youth.
